Cheap Christmas Gift Ideas

Is your budget for Christmas presents like mine? Are you trying to decide who you can cross off your gift list without offending anyone? Well, after some serious thought, I found several ways to keep those names and come up with a cheap Christmas gift that would be acceptable to — and appreciated by — everyone.

Even though some of them will require a bit of time and a little energy, there are cheap Christmas gift ideas to be found. If you're willing to put some elbow grease into those inexpensive gift ideas, then you may be rewarded with lots of hugs this Christmas.

My favorite idea for a cheap Christmas present is to make things for the intended recipients. Be it some type of food, an item to wear, or one for the house, homemade gifts are not only cherished but make for an inexpensive Christmas gift that includes a great deal of love.

Baked Christmas Gifts

If some of the people on your list are fans of cookies, fudge or cake — go with that idea (baking). Fudge and cookies can be made on a small budget and some of them can be saved for your family. After you have prepared your fudge or cookies, you can wrap them in festive colored cellophane or boxes tied with ribbons and bows. Toothsome treats are a wonderful way to win some points with your gift recipients. Baking a cake is also a good cheap Christmas gift that can be just as delightful as cookies or fudge. Discover your recipient's favorite flavor and make that. Add some holiday themed decorating to it and it will be received with smiles.

Crafted Christmas Gifts

If you're not the type that likes to cook, there are heaps of cheap Christmas gift ideas that don't require baking. If you visit a craft store, such as Michaels, you'll discover plenty of ideas for making cheap Christmas gifts. You can create beautiful candles for a small price, wreathes, painted T-shirts, pot holders and knit lots of different items. Knitting something unique for someone special is a marvelous means of showing your creativity and caring for others, and is a cheap Christmas gift that won't break the bank. I knitted scarves for my girls and they all cherished them tremendously. Knitting them simply cost me the price of the yarns and a little time. I made three scarves for less than ten dollars. For a low cost, I managed to cross three names off of my gift list.

Using some creative imagination and putting some extra love into finding a cheap Christmas gift idea can leave the recipients pleasantly delighted and your wallet a bit fatter.
